Hi Folks ,

I realise it has been a long time since I posted  here...I have been lost in the anonamous Blog world, the lure of the cyber machine is sometimes very strong, which is why  I admire Talon so much for  deleting his. (he IS a Scorpio, after all)

To all the people I have connected with here...I hope you are well, and I will post more when I have risen from the ashes.

The wonderful, amazing and "risen from the pheonix"  Talon , tagged me to disclose 7 things about myself that no one knows.

Now this is a bit of a loaded gun, as I tend to be  very reserved at the best of times, and have had what some would call a colourful past, so I will only mention some of the more inocous things.
This actually got me thinking quite a bit, so this is what I have come up with.

  • I was born with a large purple birthmark that completely covered my right eye .There are no baby photos of me until it faded, age 2, as my mother thought it was a sign of the devil.

  • My hair went snow white at age 25, a genetic mutation that normally affects the males in my family. I dye it back to its original red colour.

  • I was aprenticed to a witch coven when I was 10 (which is why I am against new age mumbo-jumbo )

  • I can call the wind, and it always comes, when I walk past trees they  move, even when then has been no wind before.

  • I am very shy, and uncomfortable in groups, which I have learned to cover very well.

  • The need to know and be one with God is my driving force.

  • I changed my name by deed poll when I was 28.
So these are some some things about me. Having thought about this, I realized that people close to me actually dont know very much about me.Which doesnt worry me in the slightest.

So these are the rules to tagging

THE RULES:
1. Link to the person’s blog who tagged you.

2. Post these rules on your blog.

3. List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.

4. Tag seven random [?] people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog.

Best Practices Database

This searchable database contains over 2,650 proven solutions from more than 140 countries to the common social, economic and environmental problems of an urbanizing world. It demonstrates the practical ways in which public, private and civil society sectors are working together to improve governance, eradicate poverty, provide access to shelter, land and basic services, protect the environment and support economic development.

Cradle to Cradle- an amazing book and website devoted to corporate and industrial sustainability and innovation.

"Rather than trying to limit the impact of industry through the management of harmful emissions, cradle-to-cradle thinking posits that intelligent design can eliminate the concept of waste, resolving the conflict between nature and commerce. By modeling industrial systems on nature's nutrient flows, designers can create highly productive facilities that have positive effects on their surroundings, and completely healthful products that are either returned to the soil or flow back to industry forever. It's a life-affirming strategy that celebrates human creativity and the abundance of nature". William McDonough & Micheal Braungart.

Corporate Sustainability Project- Directory of information on CSR and the environment.

The Corporate Sustainability Project aims to generate a cross-disciplinary understanding of how corporations can develop the skills, approaches and tools needed to better integrate environmental and social performance with key business objectives, and how to design and lead the change programs needed to make these shifts.

It has two points of focus: looking at both the changes needed for corporate sustainability, and the corporate change strategies that are required.

The Values Centre website was created by Richard Barrett & Associates to provide information on the application of the Seven Levels of Consciousness model and the Cultural Transformation Tools ® for the cultural transformation of corporations, non-profits, NGO’s, government institutions, schools, communities and nations, as well as providing details on the use of the model and tools for personal transformation and leadership development.
